Crossing Guards of the Year

Each year a “Crossing Guards of the Year” (CGY) is selected in many of the cities we service. This honor is presented to employees who exemplify the qualities of an outstanding School Crossing Guard. The Crossing Guards of the Year are nominated by the Area Supervisors using company performance standards, community input and supervisory observations.

The CGY recipients are awarded a gift of appreciation, a custom-made CGY lapel pin and a personalized plaque to commemorate this honor. Cities, School Districts and Schools often share in this recognition by honoring the recipients in ceremonial presentations or local recognition events.
